As a government school, we are managed by the Department of Education and Training. It is up to the Minister and Department leaders to determine if government schools need to close. As Principal, I am expected to inform the Department of the following:
- If we have a person at our school (including parents) with a confirmed case of COVID-19
- If we have a person at our school (including parents) who has been in close contact with a person who has a confirmed case of COVID-19
As of today, NO student, staff member or parent has this virus and NO student, staff member or parent has been in close contact with someone who has the virus. Our school is open and all students are expected to attend.
If the situation changes I will inform the Department immediately and the school community will be notified as soon as practicable.
