Albion North Primary School was established in 1962 and is located in a residential area of Sunshine North within the Brimbank Council local government area. In recent years, there has been significant renewal of the school buildings and grounds providing the school community with bright, modern teaching and learning spaces. All members of the school community are encouraged to be actively involved in the home-school learning partnership to enable children to reach their potential at school.
The school’s values – Respect, Integrity, Trust, Teamwork, Care, Tolerance and Pride, underpin all programs at the school. Our main focus is to continue to improve student learning outcomes particularly in English and Mathematics. This is done through the application of current research based teaching and learning practices and is supported through professional learning for staff. The school is addressing non-attendance and lateness through the implementation of DET initiatives in the school.
We have specialist classes in Art, ICT, LOTE (Italian) and Phys. Ed. We also offer a range of other programs at different year levels including robotics, gardening, school band, choir, sport and buddies. Reading intervention and English as an Additional Language (EAL) is provided to support students as needed and a Speech Pathologist employed by the school works for 2 days a week to provide further intervention.
The school’s current enrolment is 257.
Here at Albion North Primary School we are delighted to invite you and your children to participate in the thirteenth annual Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge.
We wish your child the best of luck!
