Section 5.1 Arrangements for Monitoring and Reporting Charter Implementation

Albion North Primary School aims to operate in accordance with the Department of Education and Training (DE&T) accountability framework through:

Charter development and implementation.

The implementation of DE&T policies and guidelines.

The preparation of School Council Annual Reports.

The Triennial Review.

To ensure that its accountability practices add value to school effectiveness, the following procedures will be used:

  • Data collection that assists preparation of the Annual Report.
  • Annual Reports for the School Council, DE&T and for the school community.
  • Principal and staff accountability (performance planning and evaluation).
  • Community expectations (Parent Opinion Surveys).
  • The implementation of DE&T policies and priority areas.
  • Informing parents about school policies and programs and student assessment policies and procedures.
  • Reporting to parents with an informal interview, a formal interview and two written reports, as well as ongoing meetings if required.
  • Reports describing the course content and work expectations of each student.
  • Reports that comment on student progress, including students with disabilities and impairments and identify standards of achievement.
  • Ensuring that reporting provides clear direction and advice for future improvement.

The following table details plans for ensuring the full implementation of the School Charter and the need to meet DE&T accountability requirements.
